AF-UAP is a knowledge and monitoring platform dedicated to tracking the implementation of the New Urban Agenda across African countries. It is intended for governments, international organizations, civil society, researchers, and the general public.

All content published on this platform — including reports, data, maps, graphics, and text — is the property of the platform operators or their respective authors. Content may be reused for non-commercial purposes with proper attribution to the African Urban Agenda Platform.

Users who submit content (reports, best practices, data) grant the platform a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to publish, distribute, and display such content. Users are responsible for ensuring they have the right to submit the content they provide.

Our Commitment

The African Urban Agenda Platform is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards.

Conformance Status

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities.

Measures Taken
  • All images include descriptive alternative text.
  • The platform is navigable using a keyboard alone.
  • Color contrast ratios meet WCAG AA requirements.
  • The platform supports right-to-left (RTL) text direction for Arabic.
  • The platform is available in 5 languages: English, French, Arabic, Swahili, and Amazigh (Tamazight).
  • Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
Known Limitations

Some interactive map features and data visualizations may have limited accessibility for screen reader users. We are actively working to improve these components.
