FAQs

Frequently asked questions about the platform and the New Urban Agenda

The African New Urban Agenda Platform is a collaborative initiative by UN-Habitat designed to track, monitor, and support the implementation of the New Urban Agenda across the African continent.

The New Urban Agenda (NUA) was adopted at the United Nations Conference on Housing and Sustainable Urban Development (Habitat III) in Quito, Ecuador, on 20 October 2016. It represents a shared vision for a better and more sustainable future. If well-planned and well-managed, urbanization can be a powerful tool for sustainable development for both developing and developed countries.

Countries wishing to submit a national report should contact us through the form above or by email. Our team will guide you through the reporting process and provide the necessary templates and guidelines.

Civil society organizations, NGOs, academic institutions, and private sector partners can join to contribute expertise and collaborate on urban development initiatives.

All national reports and resources are freely accessible on the platform. Visit the National Reports and Resources sections to browse available documents, datasets, and best practices.
